The IT Security Unit (ITSU) was established under the aegis of the Ministry of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation to act as a key contact point for information security in Government.
ITSU's vision, mission and objectives are in line with the vision of the Ministry of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation (MITCI) to provide the right environment for the harnessing of Information and Communication Technologies for innovative public service delivery.
The Unit provides its services within the Civil Service across Ministries and governmental departments.

Mission
To strengthen the Government's digital ecosystem through effective information security governance, promotion and monitoring of compliance to internationally recognised security standards with the fostering of a sustained culture of cyber security awareness and best practices across the Civil Service
